There is nothing better than finding a good book that completely captures you and immerses you in a make-believe world. Which is why I spent the better part of 2016 writing a young adult book, attempting to create a world that one could get lost in. However, a year is a long time to commit to one project, and I am beyond relieved to say my newest manuscript is nearly ready.

Anyone who’s known me long enough knows I’m a huge Harry Potter fan. Anything fantastical and requiring a lot of imagination really appeals to me. So I have to warn you, there’s a lot of that in this book.

At the beginning of last year I had an idea for a character – an idea that sparked a year long quest to pen her story. I’ve loosely based some of her meanderings off my own silly escapades (running around town, staying overnight in random places, tricks and pranks). Although she’s much more dangerous than I ever was.

This time around, I am pursuing traditional publishing, which I’m told can take an infinite amount of time. So stay tuned for further updates!

  1. Oh, I like this. Very similar to me. I’ve just started writing a book too, based on the Fantasy genre as I too LOVE Harry Potter, etc. I’m jealous that you already have a completed copy. I find it hard to find time. Well done, I’ll stay tuned to learn more 😀 x
